Vietnam is now in a strong position to enhance trade and investment, particularly through the upcoming EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and the recently implemented CPTPP.
Although the global economy is dramatically being impacted by the ongoing tension between the U.S. & China, according to many experts Vietnam stands to reap the rewards.
However, besides the potential benefits that Vietnam may acquire, concerns still remain that there might be unseen practical challenges like the capacity of local companies to meet the rising demand, the screening of technology being shifted to Vietnam, or how to avoid the problem of origin in exporting to the US.
In that respect I found an interesting and detailed article in the South China Morning Post which I like to recommend to you.
